On Sunday afternoon, it was sunny but extremely windy. So instead of going straight back to the refuge after lunch I drove around a bit, taking highway 60 west out of Socorro for about 10 miles just to see some of the countryside. This and the next couple of pictures were taken on that brief excursion.
