These pictures were taken the afternoon of Feb 2. I started out at the Coyote Deck, which was aptly named for this afternoon as three coyotes walked by shortly after I got there. They were pretty far away so I did not get any real good shots of them. I then spent quite a bit of time at the north end of the Farm Loop. There was a large flock of snow geese in the field and at one point something startled them and they all took to the air en masse. They settled back down within a minute or so. I then waited, and waited, and waited for them to take off again. I knew that they would eventually, to fly back to the wetlands to roost for the night. I eventually gave up and got into the car....just then they flock rose up out of the field and quickly flew right above my head on the way south.
After that, I went back to the main observation deck area to take a couple more pictures in the quickly-fading light.
