Early stages of the flock of snow geese blasting off from the farm fields. I did not see what started all of this. Perhaps an Eagle or a Coyote approached. Whatever it was did not seem to concern the Sandhill Cranes at all. It is an amazing site to see....and hear. The thousands of wingbeats make a whoosh that is easily heard over the calling of the birds.
