Day 184 - Keeping Cool

This shot is not the best, but it really captures the size of the Pontoon boat as well as the cove that we'd settled into all morning. My wife & I had done an early morning cruise (our anniversary) and found this cove not far from the campground (basically across the lake). We came back with the kids and dropped anchor. We were the first boat here, after an hour a couple more came in (including a cabin cruiser that must have been in the $200k range), by noon there were about 8 boats in this cove and across the sandbar in the background. It's hard to tell, but the lake on the other side of the sandbar was very rough, the boats were rocking all over the place (and it wasn't from lovin'), the sandbar acted as a wave break, we hardly felt any ripples.
We'd jump into the water and swim to the beach, walk around, swim on the other side, and pop back to the boat. I think we spent 5 or 6 hours in this cove this day.
