I couldn't figure out why these pictures were just a little less sharp than those I took on day one with the same gear set up the exact same way. Then, it dawned on me - thermal distortion. The sun was out and it was much hotter compared with the cloud covered partial sun on day 1. Heat waves rising up from the pavement are the reason.
