I love VR or the "Vibration Reduction" feature as Nikon calls it (Canon labels their version "IS" "for Image Stabilization"). With this on, you can get a sharp image in absolutely horrible lighting; which was what I faced here. Hand held at 1/8 of a second shutter speed.
