Front of House - All Trimming Done - New Gutters on

Frank thinks my house looks tiny now from the front! The awful Dutch gutters have been replaced by real gutters.

See how steep the street is? The house is level in this photo, so you can see the slope of the street. And this isn't the really steep part. (grin) The hill also slopes down in the back, so it's two stories there. My back yard is relatively flat, but there's a cliff behind it.

Parking is really, really, really tight on my street. It's barely two lanes wide, so if folks park on the street, they block the lane. Occasionally an idiot will park opposite someone else who's already parked on the road and completely blocks the street. So, I paved part of my front yard to put in a parking spot that's an extension of my driveway, which is barely one car wide.

Unfortunately, it's very tempting for folks to park there. Some don't realize it's on private property, so I put a "reserved parking" sign out front, as others on the street have done.
