I highlighted my street in Cankaya in pink. The x is where I think our apartment building was. Of course this is a bit of a guess, as things have changed tremendously since the 1960's! At that time Coban Yildizi Sokak was a small dirt road running next to the Prime Minister's compound. There was a house and our apartment building. That's it, if I remember correctly.

Since then I corresponded with a Turkish friend and he sent photos showing the building and street as they are today. It's a busy thoroughfare.
