No I didn't get any shots of the old mine. But all is not lost. - I am currently in Darwin on a 3 month secondment which turned out to be 6 months. I start driving home to Brisbane on 7th November. I'll make a point of stopping off and seeing (and photographing) the old mine.

Did you get any shots of the old mine? I was there in July ,about 20 campers on site not one knew of the old mine pit! Great colours in the water in the pit and walls at different times of the day.Changes as the day goes on.I liked your shots of the old town,lots of stories come out of Mary Kathleen and Cloncurry.
