At 01.30am on the 18th October 2007, fire swept through one of Colchester's oldest houses.
The 16th Century House, once was home to a wealthy mechant, possibly in the woollen industry that was thiving in Colchester at that time.

Rebuilding restoration will possibly take two years, at a estimated cost of £500,000.
