Actually BJ our house faces south and this late evening image was taken to the northwest. The sun lit up the whole sky and there was also a beautiful rainbow. I realize that it looks as if you are looking into the sunset in the center of the image but that is not the case. The sun was setting to the left of the image and the rays just lit the clouds in the center with more intensity. Trust me I know where the sun sets.

It's a gorgeous world isn't it? You captured it well...Since your back yard faces the east...could it possibly have been a sunrise? I thought your front faced west...the atmosphere and your camera were in great sinc on this one! BJ
