This sculpture was being done for Michaelangelo's burial crypt but was broken before he completed it and was never used for the crypt. You may notice that the woman on the right as you look at the statue is not as polished or complete as the rest of the statue. Her nose is also broken off. The statue stands about 8 feet high.
