Clear Lake

Clear Lake forms the headwaters of the McKenzie River. The name is fitting... the water is crystal-clear, with a maximum depth of 200 feet and an average year-round water temperature of a balmy 43 degrees. The lake lies behind a natural dam created by lava flows some 3000 years ago. Large petrified trees can be seen below the water's surface.
