Locally Common fall migrant, mid June through September, otherwise Uncommon March through October, primarily in the Coastal region.
Habitat: Lagoons, shallow ponds.
Best locations: Salt works at south San Diego Bay, San Elijo Lagoon, Bayshore Bikeway in Imperial Beach.
