Uncommon spring migrant, February through April, in Coastal and Lowlands regions. Uncommon fall migrant, July through September, in Mountains and Coastal regions. Rare spring migrant in Desert region.
Habitat: Diverse; blooming flowers, hummingbird feeders.
Best locations: Tijuana River Bird and Butterfly Garden, Palomar Mountain SP.
