Common winter visitor, October through May, primarily in the Nearshore region and Uncommon in bays in the Coastal region; Common migrant in Nearshore region in November, and Offshore region, April-May, November.
Habitat: Ocean and salt water bays.
Best locations: Point La Jolla.
