Uncommon to Rare, April through September, Rare in winter, in the Lowlands and Coastal regions.
Habitat: Cattail Marshes.
Best locations: Buena Vista Lagoon, Lake Murray, Kumeyaay Lake in Mission Trails Park, Dairy Mart Pond.
