In the Netherlands the common wall lizard is very rare. It exists only in one place in the south. This species is more flat than other sorts of lizards. You can find it in the city, on the old citywalls, where it can hide in little holes.
De muurhagedis is in Nederland erg zeldzaam. Hij komt alleen voor in Maastricht. Merkwaardig genoeg vind je deze soort juist in de stad. Hij leeft op oude stadsmuren, waar er genoeg gaatjes en kiertjes zijn om zich tussen te verstoppen.
