The other day I hear a lot of noise and know a bird is caught. I see black and grey flapping of the wings of a blackbird in the bushes.
Between the leaves I see some white and brown spots and a yellow eye. A sparrowhawk! I feel tack sharp!
Neverbefore I saw it so close.
I know at given moment it has to come out of the bushes and I hope it'll sit on a stump before flying away. So I wait.
This bird is extremely alert. The sleightest movement disturbes, and stops it from its hasty plucking.
After an hour it comes out and sits on a stump that is hidden behind a branch. Oooow! Why?
Nevertheless for a minute this lady gives me a chance to observe and make pictures. What magnificant bird this is! It is still very alert and I don't dare to zoom out my lens or change the position of my camera. The sparrowhawk would surely fly away!
And when it finally does, I can see it carries its prey.
What a magical moment this was for me.
