James (Pharaoh electric), the PV solar installer, was there while the roof was off doing the roof penetrations for the standoff supports (roofers did the flashing hats).
James is the one that got me to replace to roof early. The back had 5 years left about, front 10+ years. There were three layers of shingles on the house, which is in violation of building code (only 2 layers permitted, not sure what year, possible 3 were permitted earlier), but that wasn't found out until the tear-off. That is good for the weight on the roof as houses in AZ aren't built for the roofs to hold a lot of weight.
With If Certainteed Landmark TL holds up to their advertising, these shingles should out last the solar panels, 50 years at least. The standoffs on the solar racking should permit roof work without removing the racking, only the panels.
