My daughter got married in late September. We took the opportunity to spend a week at Lake Tahoe where she lives. I got to spend a few days wandering around the area. This month, as in November, I'm featuring images I shot in Virginia City, Nevada. Virginia City was a big metals boom town in the 1800s that is now a great little tourist trap.

I shot the typical (for me) images on the main drag. As I wandered the back streets I discovered what a local resident described to me as an abandoned Chinatown. It was loosely fenced off, but no one was around so I shot everything in sight. Lots of ghost town looking junk, dead cars, deteriorating buildings that looked like an ancient part of a street.
