I'm not sure what got this Kingbird all excited but it suddenly started to flap its wings while opening its beak a few times and screeching out a few notes. I had been waiting patiently for an open beak shot and was rewarded with this opportunity. I have seen it do this previously when a pesky Grackle got a bit too close for comfort. While observing the Kingbirds I also noticed a hawk flying overhead being chased by a very vocal gull.
