The Bobolink is a bird of open grasslands and nests on the ground. It travels approximately 20,000 km annually in its migratory trek spending winters south of the equator in Central and South America. The Bobolink measures 6 to 8 inches in length with a wingspan of 11 inches. It feeds on seeds, grains and insects. - preceeding info from Cornell Bird website.
