Peregrine falcons gravitate to the sides of cliff walls for rest and raising young in natural environments and tall structures in cities such as tall buildings and bridges.
The high pesrpective offers a birds-eye view of the surroundings and also offers protection from predators especially with young in the nest.
The peregrine and other falcons tend to attack prey while airborne and the high perpective gives the peregrine the ability to dive bomb prey. The peregrine is the fastest animal on earth and its dive or stoop allows it go upwards of 240 km/ph.
