Hello World! A young saw-whet owl peers out from its nest. Saw-whet owls are a local breeder in the Ottawa and surrounding area including Gatineau Park. Finding one in juvenile plumage in the wild has been on my owl wish-list for a number of years. It was a privilege for me and two other local Ottawans to finally see one. Hopefully more owlets in the years ahead.
