Was able to watch this adult Peregrine Falcon up close thru a spotting scope as it slept just at the back of the ledge. Mostly it kept one eye open but occasionally closed both eyes briefly. A passing crow cawing loudly woke it up fully but soon it went back to sleep.
The blood on its feathers were from an earlier meal. Falcons mantle their prey after catching them. Someone told me that remains of baby ground hogs were sometimes found on the roof of the building. I noticed there were a number of ground hogs at this location.
Also seen were goldfinches and a few cedar waxwings.
