Two of the four young peregrine falcons soar over the Niagara Gorge below. You can tell the young from the adults by the colour surrounding the eyes. Adult birds have a distinctive yellow colouring around the eyes.
The green colour of the gorge makes for a nice backdrop. According to a Niagara website, "The colour comes from the dissolved salts and very finely ground rock, picked up primarily from the limestone bed but probably also from the shales and sandstones under the limestone cap at the Falls."
