The short-tailed weasel (Ermine) has a life expectancy of one year in the wild but can live up to 6 years.

Normally brown coloured in the summertime, this weasel's coat turns white as winter approaches. It is very skittish but I was able to observe and note its behaviour. From this I will know how best to approach it. At one point it came to within a few feet of me.
