If Dante would have lived in Polynesia, this is probably how he would have envisioned Inferno.

Wide part of the Island close to the airport seem to be in a sort of a construction project,
which makes the impression of being abandoned, or not progressing at all. The photograph does
not give full impression of sadness caused by the size of this devastation. Patches of smoke,
fog banks over the standing water, and a smell hangs over this desolate landscape.
