"Huahine's gold" is Vanilla! This is a delicate plant, demanding manual labor intense
polination and controlled light. We saw numerous vanilla plantations with such dark
sun light reducing nets. Vanilla fruits are than collected in jars and sold locally
without any further processing. The scent of original vanilla is simply magnificent.
