1140 Lose dogs and barb wire.

At least this dog was friendly. A paradise...

Dear Guest,

personally I like the story of "Tekila" finding a new home in Arizona! Why not? It is really a nice ending, we have a freedom of choice and the means. Barbi has chosen Tekila.

Clearly this is not related to the generic problem with lose dogs charging at visitors and the barbwire on this island. We do not sympathize with either of these, we cannot.

Reading the comments below is fascinating! How did these people misunderstand the photo essay? And I can't even comment on taking a stray dog from Tahiti to the US...
Thomas, great job! You've shown so well the reality behind the beauty.

This is a marvelous end to a story, which can only happen on these magic Islands! Congratulations to the new arrival!

Just an update... This little homeless dog has now been rescued (November 2008) -- we flew her home to Arizona with us, and she now lives in a good home in the USA!

This is a privately-owned property, and that is why it is fenced with barbed wire. The dog in the photo is TEKILA, a beach dog abandoned by her local family when they returned to France. She HAS to be friendly to get anything to eat!
