24-Mauna Kea, 13796'

I climbed to 12000 feet to get a good view at the Observatory and the "White Snow of Hawaii."
The peak of this incredible volcano was still almost 2000' above me! To my surprise even at this
elevation the air was very turbulent and this caused some blemishes on many of these images.

To non pilots: FAA restricts the maximum permissible elevation in a non
pressured aircraft without use of oxygen. 12000 feet was high enough to be almost
as high as it is permitted, while remaining safe and well within the legal envelope.

other sizes: small medium large original auto
