Lake Conway, near Bell Slough North. This Egret is missing half of its top bill. Its fishing abilities do not seem terribly impaired. I watched it spear a fish with its bottom bill, then walk over to a rock, knock the fish off of its bill and eat it. Sometimes, it would drop a fish.
