Great play between darkness and light. You really were able to give a very dramatic feeling to the castle...

It appears as the remnant nails from the foot of a giant trojan beast. The visual weight of the stonework bearing down with incredible pressure upon the blackness.Defiant against the day.Wonderful!

Makes me think of fables and faerie stories in lands with unnatural creatures and adventures.. so well done, Gilles.

Just fantastic! I bet you can take hundreds of great shots there!

The light makes it! Wow, very brooding image.

On perçoit l'histoire dans ce monument.
Bravo pour ces belles nuances de gris.

Superbe atmosphere! Quelle belle lumiere et composition!
I like the staircase even if it is a modern feature. It is a sort of link between the two worlds.

This is really excellent!!

Gilles, I'm astounded by this. I think you prefer shadow to light. I love how you 'push the envelope' so much with the darkness in your images, in tone and in mood. I'm dizzy and exhillerated looking at this. One of your all-time best. Vote, of course.

Comment le "quotidien" devient mystery ;-))

dark and moddy gilles...great conversion.
though not too sure about the walkway/staircase...kinda distracting. :)
besides, why would ghosts want a staircase anyway. :D
