Corto Maltese / Hugo Pratt
T E Lawrence
André Malraux
Hemingway
Stevenson
Rimbaud
Heny de Monfreid
Kipling
Teilhard de chardin

antidote3 say "how did they influence you (just of interest)?"

André Malrauw was a french novelist who fighted in the spain civil war against Franco, it was an egghead risk-taker
T E Lawrence blended the arabs tribes against the turc power, it was idealist risk-taker
Corto Maltese / Hugo Pratt adventurer around the world, i read these books when i was young
Hemingway is one of the great risk-taker of the XX century, one of the best war correspondent, a great novelist too
Stevenson was an amazing novelist adventurer, a great journalist too
Rimbaud is my favorite french poet, he was an adventurer too, in est africa he become a arms smuggler
Henry de Monfreid was a great novelist too, but he was a arms and Hashish smuggler near Djibouti in est Africa
Kipling was an english poet and journalist in india
Teilhard de chardin was a jesuit preist, an adventurer too, a spécialiste of human evolution

all those giants influence me for their idealism and rebel perspective of life, their appetite of liberty and their steadfastness of understanding.
I hope that i receive a little part of their spirit
