overgrown

this might look a lush scene at first glance, yet in truth it is a view that underscores additional problems...the local Parks Board has allowed too much plant growth, which only exacerbates the desiccation taking place....a hot summer has proven devastating, the many plants in the overgrown pond add significantly to the stress on water levels

I hope you get the rain you need. It’s been very hot this summer. The scene does look deceptively lush. V

Nature, where it can, runs rampant in its race for survival. Can't blame it really. Just like humans. Beautiful late summer image though.

It is unfortunate that local park authorities do not monitor these areas.

It is pretty at first, but I do understand the gravity of the situation.V

Such a pretty spot it's sad to learn that there is too much plantlife. Hope you get some rain.
Hank Vander Velde05-Sep-2018 22:17
The image is well captured and I hope you get some much needed rain soon.

Unless someone clears this out, there will be problems for the inhabitants of the pool in the future. Interesting documentary image.
Helen Betts05-Sep-2018 21:17
It does make for a beautiful image, but it sounds like a dire situation.

Evil lying in this lush and apparently peaceful place...Superb image indeed ! V.

A problem for sure but it makes for a fine photo. Looks like a very healthy fresh water marsh. BV

Nice colourful image but it does seem a shame this is allowed to happen.

It DOES look lush in your photo! But I know how lack of water and intense heat can stress even the strongest of plants and trees! Hoping for a wet winter, starting SOON we all hope!
