wavy

first spotted through the curtains as a silhouette, the surprise visitor was then confronted on the window side of the fabric, and captured using a glass and a thin bank advertising brochure (!)....this densely-patterned moth, possibly a Wavy Interloper (or maybe not, since I haven't a clue about its ID) was subsequently removed from the house for its own good, and once released flew onto a stucco post of the front porch

Very nice wavy markings on the moth. Probably as well to evict it.

Lovely wavy patterns, and that was a clever way of releasing it into the "wild". V

So glad you rescued it. Not sure what this is, but it looks somewhat like one of the Zale moths (Family Erebidae). At any rate, wavy is a very good name for it! V
