rabbitbrush

Canyonlands NP, Needles district, Utah

most of the colour in the area came from the rocks, but a few drought tolerant plants were in bloom...think this one is called rabbitbrush

Ahhhh. Now I see the beauty you so skillfully captured here, David. Shame on me for not paying more attention to what you were doing. Instead, I just doped along... The detail in this capture is really, really nice. Comp too.

The spotlight is on this colorful plant for sure. Very nicely framed with the wonderfully textured bleached wood. V

Nice contrast of the rabbitbrush against the wood. You have something living amongst the dead or dying. Makes you think.

It's a miniature landscape, the log could be a mountain range...

Is that what a rabbit uses to tidy his hare?

David, this is superb image. The rabbit bush brings a little color to the scene. You have not mention it, did you come across any rattlesnakes? Nice job. V.

I love this scene with the old bleached out tree with the rabbitbrush nestled into it for protection.
