hardy

Monument Valley Tribal Park

only hardy plants survive, and even they face challenges in the harsh conditions...this scene is from deeper into the valley, beyond the tourist road, where you can only go with a Navajo guide..the entire park is administered by the Navajo Nation

I love the rugged beauty and the emptiness of much of the Southwest. The land is still young and changing, yet it already feels so old. There is a stillness, but there is life almost everywhere if you look hard enough. You have conveyed this all in this image. Glad to hear the Navajo are administering this area and taking care of their sacred land. "V"

David, I am glad that you got to look at the Navajo reservation. It is truly a great experience. The Navajo's have done very well with their land. Nicely presented image. Terrific framing with the bushes and the lone tree. V.
