in touch

Arches National Park, Utah

it was hard not to be in touch with the southwest scenes..they were so immediate and compelling...it's one thing to photograph a landscape, and quite another to instantly fit in...Sam Rua adapts to the dynamic, changing conditions at Arches NP

Excellent story telling and photo to visualize it. Sam was certainly the most far ranging of all of us. ~V~

Sam's perch on this rather perilous looking surface is well captured here.

Nice one, David. There's a reason why the backpack was off for this shot --- I was very close to the edge and didn't want an unexpected shift in contents to precipitate a short journey to the canyon floor.

That's one fabulous scene David. Such nice muted tones and great depth~ I love that old leaning pine that's partway down as it helps with the sense of depth. V
