endangered

shadows are like an endangered species these days, as the gloomy skies of winter block the sun and heap rain on the city...there might be a break in the wet weather this weekend though, and a chance to re-stock the photo cupboard

A lovely image indeed. I'm hoping for a break in the gloom
at sunrise tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath. :) V.

I like the fact that the intricate shadows are amplified and remapped to show more detail than the original!........V

This is beautiful with the bright light, colours and intricate pattern. I well know the rainy weeks and months of a west coast winter! Hang in there! V

Oh what a tangled web we weave,
When first we practise to deceive!

No deception here: the tangled shadow (and it is not Lamont Cranston) replicates in magnified detail the wrought iron ornamentation of this brandy-wine colored window frame beyond its partial viewing.
