surprise

on the second morning after the freezing cold session at Van Dusen Gardens I got a surprise when checking the online pages of the Globe and Mail, the country’s national newspaper...there was a photo feature on the same location, and it turns out, on the same night...looking at the images, I found a familiar figure, bundled up against the cold air, and hunched over the D7000 lining up a shot
A good-sized file of the photograph was kindly forwarded to me by Globe and Mail visual journalist John Lehmann, who also graciously gave permission to post the image here

So that's how you get all those great photos. You need a tripod and patience! Cool shot and how nice you made the paper.
Mairéad21-Dec-2011 23:25
I reckon you both did very well! You certainly look well wrapped up against the cold but I always find it difficult using gloves.

How exciting. I am glad to see that you are warmly dressed and working so industriously to get that perfect shot. But carrying around all that gear? No way to simplify? A brownie camera perhaps?
