corporate reflections

inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement, demonstrations took place all over Canada yesterday, and many are continuing on for a longer period...getting those in the boardrooms, safely ensconced in the glass and steel towers of the nation, to consider and act on people’s frustrations may prove difficult though...it’s rare for the corporate captains to reflect on anything other than profits

The outer reflections seem symbolic of how the corporate actions reflect upon us.......Nicely done!

Ahem, I do have to beg to differ with you there. They do not focus on profits but on REPORTED profits (as defined in the most elastic fashion possible) which in turn affects what they do really focus on... their remuneration packages. The employees, the customers, even the shareholders are merely means to that end. I do like this shot though with its many and varied lines, and many and varied reflections of facets.

Profits and Wall Steet aside, this is a super shot!

But there are always a few with a compassion and vision, whose education has made them receptive and willing to direct change from the top.

You are in this Gallery in the dark side of our society.
Last time in Honk Kong I was go to visit the new sky tower (400m ), but arrived in front of lift and surrounding by the luxe ,I changed of idea , I preferred to walk in the simple streets with the old and living shops.

Great reflections. I would like to see some of those corporate captains take a step down from their glass towers and walk in the shoes of some "middle class" people. V

Great reflection shot. You lined this up very nicely to maximize the distortions and different reflection planes. "V"

Great admixture of the concrete and the ephemeral! Corporations survive by making profits...politicians survive by getting re-elected...government bureaucracies survive by growing larger and more tyrannical....the mathematics seems to be working against us here.....+V
