Ecuador - Paramo and Coast

These photos were taken by Kim and Glenn Barrett in 2007 during our vacation in Ecuador. On this trip we stayed for a few days in the Quito area (visiting the paramo highlands, Quito Botanical Gardens, and Yanacocha cloud forest reserve) before driving out to the coast where we explored the coastal dry forest and rainforest zones.

Our third vacation in this incredible country with our excellent Ecuadorian naturalist guide and friend (Robby Delgado). Tasty food and wonderful lodgings with lots of fabulous plants and wildlife to observe (lots of birds seen and finally some photos to post due to an upgrade in our camera!)

A Nikon Coolpix S10 digital camera was used for all photos.
