La madera del tejado es protegida por un material de asfalto que a continuacion es recubierto con "Shingles tambien de asfalto" que en Castellano no tengo puta idea de la traducion pero equivale a lo que se usa en España como pizarra solo que aquí se suele usar el asfalto, es mas barato, facil de manejar y tiene una vida de entre 20 y 30 años, luego se pone otra capa por encima y a esperar otros 20 años.
El tejado por dentro de la casa va forrado con material aislante de 25 a 35cm de espesor, es por eso que estas casas son muy "comodas".

This is typical construction here en USA.....and this particular house for the size and materials used is called, "A Plywood Palace".
These houses are very well insulated in and out, it probably has elevator between floors, central air, a full basement with gym, movie projection room,etc.

Still looks a bit like a game house to me :) maybe because the construction is so different from the way we're used to see here in portugal ;)
I'll have to return to see how this one will look like in the future...
