The last Emir (Sitorai Mohi Xosa)of Buchara constructed his extravagant summer palace in the early 20th century after a visit to the Tsar's summerpalace in St. Petersburg.The Tsar sent Russian architects to assist in construction wich accounts the unique blend of Russian and Central Asian styles.
