Gene - mea culpa. I just got around to keywording my images, and I DID get it wrong.
The lizard I found was a FEMALE Common Brown Basilisk. You've got the (much handsomer) male here. Both are called the Jesus Christ Lizard. I certainly saw mine walk on water.
Hey Gene. Thanks for your comments on my Costa Rica gallery. I wish I could have got an emerald basilisk like you. This one looks like another basilisk. The Jesus lizard is quite small and doesn't have the fins. I found one in a pond by the ocean, that I just uploaded. If I got that wrong let me know.
