Salmon-striped frog, Limnodynastes salmini

Coolatai, NSW Australia

This beautiful frog (about 10cm in length) was found on my front lawn during one of my routine spotlighting expeditions that so
worries my neighbours. Salmon-striped frogs shelter in earth cracks and under debris during the day and emerge at night to
pursue small creatures (like Kylie the spider). This specimen is a female, the males have much stronger forearms. Salmon-striped
frogs are found in the semi arid parts of Western NSW and Queensland.
