Broad-headed snake, Hoplocephalus bungaroides

Blue Mountains National Park

The Broad-headed snake is one of the most endangered species of snake in Australia, depending on flat slabs of rock for its
winter shelter. This makes it extremely vulnerable to unscrupulous collectors and habitat disturbance, as the collection of
"bushrock" completely removes the shelter sites for this species. Broad headed snakes are dangerously venomous, but there are
no fatalities recorded against this species.

This specimen was found in a woodland during a fauna survey of the Blue Mountains, probably moving from a rock outcrop to a suitable tree.

i think i have one off these snakes in my front yard in a tree. I live in the middle of the blue mts and on searching for what kind of snake it was, i found this article i was wondering if you know who to contact about recoring it or getting it to a safe enviroment. Wires can not help me.
