Chestnut-quilled rock pigeon

Bardedilidji Walk

A bird that moves as if it were crossed with a slug on the ground (although a fairly fast slug), flies incredibly noisily, yet somehow
manages to be extremely endearing. Chestnut-quilled rock pigeons are only found amongst the escarpment country of Kakadu
and Western Arnhem Land. This specimen was photographed one morning on the Bardedilidji Walk near the East Alligator River in
Kakadu National Park.

Hi
You have some wonderful photos of some fabulous birds.
We are creating a web site about all the worlds birds, athttp://worldbirds.awardspace.com/ . You have a number of photos we would like to use, including the Chestnut-quilled Rock-Pigeon.
We would give full copy-right, credit and a link to a web site of your choice. If you would like to contribute please e-mail keithmurdock_2@msn.com
Good birding
